I really like the Sports bumper. If only our local Subaru dealer wasn’t run by upper class suburbian assholes, we would have gotten one instead of the CX-7 back in 2007.

They wouldn’t even TALK to us because we rolled up in a Mazda.

No, the fridge parked next to my loaf of bread.

It really does make a huge difference.

Since when has a Subaru something to be snobby about?

They’re attached to a Buick dealer, are a very old handed down dealership, and the ONLY allowed in this specific city, other than the Harley dealer in the neighboring village.

The whole city has its head up their asses sniffing their farts. Every third car on the road is a BMW or Merc, if not a Subaru.

Lookin’ good! That’s my favorite body style of Forester. If something ever happens to the Cruze, I think that’s what I’ll end up getting.

SQ is a good generation. The last of the “wagon” foresters.

It’s a great car to drive. Comfy and tons of space.

I had to have a recall done to my Legacy there. It was not fun.

The replaced the brake master cylinder and ever since I had a mushy pedal. I took it into the shop where I work and none of the bleeders on any of the calipers had been touched.

I took it back THREE TIMES and they finally bled them, after saying “well we bench bled the master when we put it in, that’s all that we should have needed to do.” the first time I brought it back, and the SECOND time because they said they bled them and never did even though I spoke with the service manager, who knows my grandparents (Buick owners fo lyfeee) and told them I wanted them bled properly.

Then they tried to deny me Subaru’s lifetime warranty on seatbelts. Saying I had to pay for it since parts ordered it (they said it was under warranty) and it was non returnable. After a phone call to Subaru they got the dealer to cover it. The service manager said “Oh they changed the way we process the claims, we didn’t know how to get it paid”.

Mm hmm.

Yikes. I’m lucky to have a few good Subaru places around here. But it is hard to turn around without tripping over a couple Subarus.

Same’s up in that area. The only other Subaru dealer nearby is waaaaaaaay on the south side of Milwaukee.

The only good thing about it though is in a few years when the values drop (if) I’ll have choice pickings of manual XV’s.

Make sure you get one that doesn’t burn oil. My boss bought one of the first batch and it drank oil right off the lot. I guess the piston rings were and maybe still are shit.

I’ll be sure it’s after the early builds, or has had a warranty replacement performed.

They were pretty picky about the ones they fixed. His car didn’t burn enough for them to consider tearing down the engine for it. That’s why he’s driving a Honda Pilot.

That’s the biggest thing for me, the space. When I bought the Cruze I was just looking for something reliable that would be cheap and easy to maintain, get great gas mileage, etc. But now I find it really lacking in cargo capacity for when I want to go camping and stuff like that.

One day...

I’ve always wanted a tiny miserly commuter and a big comfy family hauler, but the wife has put a hard cap of two vehicles on me and one has to be Rat-L-Trap.

Understandable. I think my realistic dream garage would be my Cruze as a daily, a 91-92 IROC-Z as my toy, and some sort of small truck, like a crew cab 4x4 S-10 or something, to go camping and outdoorsy stuff, and truck things. And eventually convince the wife to get a Forester since she likes driving an SUV.
